Practice notes

husker rob

All-American
This was from yesterday, but had some good info

Huskers practiced inside Cook today because of wet grass ... the soccer team was using the new indoor building.

A few notes:

-- Kevin Cosgrove said sophomore Phillip Dillard is performing well at MIKE linebacker. "He’s had an outstanding camp," Cosgrove said. "He’s got a very good understanding of what we’re doing right now. He’s playing fast, he’s very vocal out there with his checks, his communication."

-- Corey Young has moved from safety to cornerback.

-- Bo Ruud and Stewart Bradley appear 100 percent recovered from their injuries that kept them out of spring ball, according to Cosgrove.

-- Ricky Thenarse and Brian Hildebrand are expected in Lincoln later tonight and could be at Saturday's practice.

-- I'm hearing rave reviews on Maurice Purify, Kenny Wilson and the offensive line. Yes, the offensive line.

Its good to hear that Dillard is doing well. With the talk of all the other linebackers and was wondering if he was playing well or not. We might have to play a little 3-4 this year to get all of our linebackers into the some games.

with at least one of the linebackers blitzing on every play
