As of these polls the teams on our schedule who are ranked:

#35 - Loyola Marymount

#4 - Louisiana State

#17 - Cal State Fullerton

#7 - Texas

Not bad.

Didn't realize we played LSU this year. When is that game? Should be a good measuring stick game for us to find out where we are at with this team.

It's in Houston for the Houston College Classic at Minute Maid Park. We play Texas A&M on March 6th, Hawai'i on March 7th, LSU on March 8th. Hopefully we can get these televised.

Dang quite the tourney they've put together there. 2-1 out of that deal would be a huge accomplishment.

That would be awesome. LIke to see how we play against LSU.

Indiana must've lost a lot of talent. Weren't they in the CWS last year? They're also willing to give UCLA the BOTD after last season by ranking them #10 after a losing season.

Indiana lost talent and their coach. I don't know about UCLA they usually reload. And with houston not signing the Number one overall pick last year who was a UCLA commit. It could be they just reloaded.

Huh...especially considering how strong some of the B1G teams came on last season, I'm kinda surprised by this. I understand Indiana not being in the mix (coach and kids gone), but Nebraska, Illinois, and Maryland all should be higher than they are.

Guess they're going to wait until one or more teams shows up in non-con play before they elevate them?

In 2005 we barely started in the top 50 before the season and ended up ranked 3rd. They don't rank northern teams high at all until the season is over. Just how it is. With our non-conference schedule all we have to do is win.

I know...but this whole 'southern bias' bulls**t is stupid. Really wish that they'd start the season later so there's more of an even footing between teams.
