Prince to Detroit?

Even with vast improvement from past years, Detroit is still on track to pick between 5-10 in the draft. I'm no talent evaluator, but according to Madden, they have the worst CB corps in the league. Prince is 3rd on Kiper's board and 7th or 8th on McShay. Depending on the needs of the teams ahead of the Lions, it's definitely possible Prince is available, and it's hard to imagine them passing him up if so.

I think Detroit needs help at linebacker more than anything. But who knows. Any LB's coming out that would be a top 10 caliber pick?

Many experts are pegging the Lions to take another defensive end to compliment Suh and Vanden Bosch. McShay is one of the most notable experts picking the Lions to do so.

That would be pretty interesting though if Nebraska had three defenders on one NFL team, two of them being from Pelini's tutelage. Says a lot about Pelini's work in the last three years.

Madden is a very well respected analyst! :sarcasm

I wonder if their staff is hesitant to take a corner that high, since they waited until the early third round last year to take that corner out of Iowa. I have been reading more that they'll take and end. Bowers would be awesome if they don't go after Prince.

Detroit needs secondary help. If Prince or Patrick Patterson is available when they pick, I think they might go that direction. They can get a playmaker at LB/S later on. Detroit is close to being relevant.

Not John Madden the person. Madden the game aka ratings expert Donny Moore, who is pretty obsessive about accuracy.

It's possible they go for Clayborn, but I feel like they need a lot more help in the back seven than the front four. Tough to see them using a top 10 pick up front when they are already pretty good there overall.
