Public Service Announcement from ETR

I take it the meth lab stayed submerged. Not being a beer affectionado what is Natty Light?????? :cheers

Thats for sure OKC. Thankfully we never had girls over that required us to break the glass on that one. :) Only the previous 11. So yes its always good to have one more on reserve.

Raw: Natty Light/Ice is the Devils urine, aka Natural Light. I dont recall which macro brews it - Miller or Bud (dont think either want credit) - but its from the bottom of the bottomest barrels brew - and coincidentally very cheap and effective in the judgement altering category, which as OKC noted is occasionally necessary. :wasted

OK thanks When I used to play tournament softball in the late 70's and early 80's the PBR distributor in Lincoln sponsored us. The price was right. It was free. and we called ourselves (wait for it) Cool Blue. (homer sound). I think they give PBR away out here in Ca. now

Only drink Smithwick or Blue Moon or an occassional hef.

As horrible as natty light is there's also something great about it. I think everyone has great memories involving natty light.

Agreed...Me and the guys in my pledge class never really cared too much about drinking good beer, just mass quantities of it. Natty Light was the first beer I ever drank enough of to make me do this> :wasted

Once you have 5 or 6 you stop tasting it anyways.

I don't get hangovers when I drink beer.

Here's something I was taught a while ago and it's always worked for me.

"Liquor before beer, you're in the clear.. but beer beore liquor, never been sicker."

Hey I have heard that too and I always follow that.. but not matter what.. Certain beers and Keg beers still kick my butt.... maybe that is a sign of getting older????

Does age really influence a hangover? I did not know that. I guess I should enjoy being young while I still can.
Trust me, Im not "old" but the body doesnt appreciate alcohol like it did just a few short years ago. Even if I dont get drunk, I get a pretty decent hangover. :wtf

I think a lot of has to do with what your priorities are. A few years ago my priorities on the weekend were drinking and drinking. I didn't really have any other reason to function. If that's the case, the hangover only lasts until you tap the next keg. However, nowadays when I have to work or at least be able to go outside the house they do seem to be worse...especially if I smoke. If I smoke and only have a few I'm done for the next day, and I'm only 23!!

However, if you're really interested in drinking and not being hungover, the better alcohol you buy the less hangover you'll get, especially in the arena of hard liquor. My local health aide taught me that the filtering process is what separates Absolut from say Barton's. The more filtered it is the fewer congeners there are in it. Congeners are what cause you to get dehydrated and feel f'd up the next morning. Also, clear liquors have fewer congeners than colored ones do. So if you go shot for shot with Vodka while your buddy drinks Whiskey, all things being equal, he'll feel worse in the morning. Just remember to be safe out there kids. :thumbs

I think that's the most/most valuable info i've taken from a single post since i've been here. Does that apply for beer too or just hard alcohol?
