The thing is he is actually exactly right. This entire system is designed to put the game out of reach early so by the time its crunch time it doesn't matter anymore. Usually we have opportunities to make it happen, we just never seem to take advantage. Yesterday our defense put us in position to but up 21-0+ in the first half, but the offense didn't do their part. My guess is if the offense would have taken advantage early the defense would have never been in position to lose the game. The defense does need to get those stops when the game is on the line, but its annoying because they play well enough with this system the game shouldn't be on the line sometimes. Specifically this game and the Colorado game
