QB Brian Hildebrand

If he was Elite #11 why did he go JUCO? :wtf Also if he's a Soph. slap a redshirt on him and let Ganz take care of the mop up duty and have a exciting QB battle next year

I don't think so. Says he redshirted at Oregon St his first year. I'm not sure what the rules are, but it doesn't look good for that.

I think he has 3 to play 3 so not sure if red shirt is an option.

I'm pretty excited about this guy...especially since he is walking on, there really is no risk.

Shawn Watson has really helped this staff. whoever says he wasnt pulling his weight is terribly wrong.
Never heard anyone say that before. If someone did, they are a fool. I didn't realize this kid is going to WALK ON. Wow, what a break. Moschetti is acclimating him to the offensive terminology as we speak. The good lord doesn't close a door without opening a window. :thumbs

This is awesome. We have been talking on this board if we could get a qb now, and now we do. Callahan might be one of the best coaches at finding "random" talent across the country to play for the Huskers.

Doesn't look like he can redshirt since he already took one at Oregon State. Don't believe he can try for a medical hardship with his broken thumb since that was the fifth game of the season. Anyhow he is coming here to compete. Unlike a little ******* former fourth stringer.

Here's Brian's info from Rivals. I believe that it is old info from when he was being recruited out of high school (but I'm not sure about that). I only included it to show that he's put on some weight (20 lbs) and that his 40 time was pretty decent. Vertical is pretty impressive, too.

Ht: 6-foot-2

Wt: 190 lbs

40: 4.62

Bench max: 235 pounds

Squat max: 325 pounds

Vertical: 32 inches

Class: 2004 (High School)
