QB Josh Freeman

Freeman will no longer take any more visits. This seems to be a Nebraska rule, I'm sure others do it, but I have heard that quite a bit.

Reports have it that NU will take no more QB's.

How is it not necessary or smart?

As we all know, BC's version of the WCO is very complex and hard to understand, and every extra minute Freeman gets will do nothing but benefit the youngster.

He will come in, get reps with the offense during the spring game next year, and be playing against college competition for more than 8-9 months before his eligibility as a college-athlete begins.

Every rep and every moment this guy stays on the field and is learning is nothing but of value. Him enrolling early is a GREAT thing, since he will be a QB especially.

Name one QB or player for that matter who has skipped part of there senior year to enroll early and become more successful then others who haven't .

Why skip the other stuff (graduation, prom, senior skip) for something that doesn't really help.

Moot point considering you couldn't name me one yourself.

The only reason I couldn't is because of my lack of knowledge in the recruiting game before last season.

The only Nebraska quarterback who ever enrolled early was Curt Dukes, and he plays for some division two school or something like that now.

I'm sayin anyone! I don't care what school. I just don't know if this makes a better player...any advantage.

If you could tell me who has attributed this early jump to college a successful move, I will be happy to subtract my statement from the record...(How's that Ark?? Can I be a lawyer now)

Eric is right as far as I know. I havent heard any success stories about coming to school early, but you never know, maybe it could be for the better, at least I hope it is.

Eric, what is the one biggest flaw any incoming freshman has with new receivers? Getting timing down and learning the playbook. BC has said numerous times that getting Zac Taylor in early was a huge advantage to let him adapt to the playbook. Harrison Beck said himself he was studying plays and running some himself with teammates to better adapt himself for when he arrived in Lincoln.

Everything you're saying is going against what they have stated, and although you keep everyone updated on the recruiting scene here, I would take the opinion of those three anyday of the week and twice on Sunday, FWIW.

'Fraid not. We have our sterling reputations to consider, ya know... ;)

who really cares and why should we? if Josh wants to get a "head-start" then i think he should come in early.....hell when did it ever hurt to spend some extra time studying anything or trying at least to get a jump on the competiton?.....i say good for him, it shows me he is going to "drive hard" for playing time......
