A starter since his freshman season, Broekemeier is a talented quarterback, but also earned all-state recognition for his work as a punter.

Hopefully NU pursues this kid in 2011. He'd be a dual-threat in punting situations where we could dial up a fake, since he's also a QB.

Furthermore, he's current Husker commit Andrew Rodriguez's HS teammate.

I don't think a lot of kickers/punters get scholarship offers out of high school, so it wouldn't be really surprising.

kickers/punters usually have to earn their ship once they are in the program...

We'll see. He might be listed as ATHLETE since he's the QB on his team and who knows if he plays another position on D.
