A great steal out of the Juco ranks

10, I think he will start at the beginning of the season while we ease Harrison into the starting job.

3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity?

I think he will start this year

:wasted

Taylor should push for the starting field general nod from Spring ball on... He can make every throw on the field and has displayed good clock management skills in the JUCO ranks!!!

He helped his team win the Juco championship. What else do you need to say. He is a leader.

What a battle we will have this year at QB.

i don't see it being a battle at all. i see it as joey d and taylor splitting duties with beck getting a couple of snaps to get his feet wet.

but what do i know? i just watch the game.

He's good. He can run the offense.

8. Important to get a guy who can step in that can run this offense and isn't straight out of high school. Plus he brought in Tomerlin and Hardy, two big targets for him to be passing to over the next couple of years.

3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity?

Oh yeah. He'll start, maybe split a little time with Joey but he'll start.

4) Who does this player most remind you of?

I dunno. He seems like more conservative of a passer. Maybe Hasselbeck.

5) Where do you see this player in 2009?

In his third year as a backup QB in the NFL. Hey, that's better than any of our QBs in the recent past have done.

He also played in one of the better JUCO leagues in the nation. The Jayhawk league constantly puts out top D-1 cornerbacks. Big, physical ones.

Highly skillful and understands the WCO which will put him in contention for the starting job with JD and beck

2) Rank his importance to the Huskers 1-10 (10 the most important).

6

3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity?

5, depends on rapidity of development in practice

4) Who does this player most remind you of?

Marc Bulger

5) Where do you see this player in 2009?

Possibly drafted, NFL Europe most likely

If Taylor was in his second year in Callahan's system I think he would be ahead right now, but being it's just his first, Dailey and him are even. Both are making some big plays and their share of mistakes.

How accurate is Taylor? Does he appear to have more accuracy than Dailey? And would you say they're even now because Joe has that extra year in the system and is more comfortable with the plays?

Taylor completed 20-of-27 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns — all in the first half. He smashed the spring game-record of 241 yards passing set last year by 2004 starter Joe Dailey, who now is the team's fourth-string quarterback.

taylor looked great in person. Those post patterns for touchdowns could not have been placed better. they were perfect. Zach looked great and I look forward to many more of those in the course of next season.
