Question on Demoting

Well Sanders already has DC experience when he was with North Carolina and also at UNO, so it'd make sense.

If I remember right when he was at UNC he improved their defense quite a bit, From laughable to all right.
Yes he did. Here's a snippet from his UNC profile:

• Entering his third season with the Tar Heels.

• Carolina improved more than 60 positions to No. 42 in total defense in 2005.

• Carolina had 31 sacks in 2005, its most since 2000.

• Carolina had 11 interceptions in 2005, its most since 1999.

• Carolina held Virginia to just five points in a 7-5 victory last season.

It is my sentiment that the longer one, cohesive staff can stay together, the better everything will be. Even though in this day and age it's not as likely, I would love to see Carl stay here. Even though I have my questions/concerns about Wats, I think the longer one OC can stay here the better the offense will get. I know he has aspirations of becoming an HC some day, but there is still room for wishful thinking. ;)

I think we may have a slight edge in that department over most schools, its just something that I can't put my finger on. I'm sure Marvin Sanders has at least been contacted for DC positions at some non-AQ schools at least.

Then again, maybe that means he knows he a more-than-likely candidate for DC should Carl ever take a job elsewhere?

Well when your boss is T.O. it can be contagious to want to keep the staff intact as long as possible. He's a great father figure to that staff. I'm sure they appreciate having him around.
