quick or long

Which type of scoring drives do you prefer? I know the quick score is effective in switching momentem and a long touchdown run or pass is exciting, but I prefer the long pound it out 10-12 play time consuming drive that gives our defense a rest and wears theirs down

depending on the situation........if NU has the lead, then the long 10-12 play drive.

if NU is behind and needs to get the ball back and score again then the quicky is best.

after reading what i just typed, i realized that it was a real Mr Obvious moment that came over me.

:yeah  I like the long drives because it wears a defense down to be out there that long. Look at us against Kansas.......I know I know it's like salt in an open wound, but they had our defense sucking wind by the 4th quarter and we couldn't keep up. We got lucky and were able to pull that game out, but we need to keep their weapons off the field and their weaknesses on the field.........

I would prefer the long, time eating drives because those are the ones that usually allow the big play to happen when the defense is tired they miss tackles or are a step slow reacting.

I like it when Callahan mixes it up. Pound the ball up the middle repeatedly, then when the defense draws in to stop the run hit them with a nice thirty yard pass to Purify.
