All-Conference
there have been a few things on my mind lately, so I figured I would throw it into a post.
Whats with the lack of "special plays" lately? Now I will admit I haven't seen every second of every game, but I cant think of the last time I saw anything along these lines. No half back passes, reverse passes, so on..... but beyond that I haven't even seen simple stuff like screen passes, shovel passes, or even WR screens. running a couple of screen passes would be a very effective way to prevent people from spying on Taylor with LB's. What about the triple option? I dont remember seeing it this year, and aside from poorly conceived Niles paul version, no wildcat either. Its really strange. I keep thinking they are saving them up for a big game............ that would be Saturday. And if you do run them.... try to run them to reliable people.
Where have our defensive ends been? for a college that has pumped out numerous pro DE's this is also quite strange. i mean the guys the we have now dont look like they could even make the 3 deep on our 90's teams. i'm not expecting everyone to be a tomich or wistrom or carricker or alberts.... but how about a jay moore? or zack potter? or even better someone like chad kelsay. none of them would make a top 10 DE list here, any of them would be a MASSIVE improvement to this team.
