Random rant about ESPN during the game

Not only was I pissed about them not showing us the beggining of the game until someone on the board said they were showing us the game on ESPNU for a bit.

But then ESPN cuts away for the girls basketball game!!! The same game they were showing one channel up on my Time Warner Cable network...ESPN2. Do we really need to see it on two channels? Yes, great....they snapped a winning streak. However, what really bugs me with ESPN is when they DO show the game, it looks likes this (sorry for the cell phone pic):

this is on a 52" TV. do we really need that huge a$$ background banner around the games? Even on my TV I can barely see what's going on with the game! Here, ESPN crew...for starters, I recommend doing this. Heck you could even go bigger:

common sense. Screw your graphics department...we want to see our games.

ESPN is pitiful. Showing the same game on two channels a full 5 minutes while the other game is going on. If you really cared that much about women's basketball, you'd be watching ESPN 2. Do they really think people watching the Nebraska vs. Washington game care about UConn and Stanford? I wonder what goes through their heads.

The reason for the backround and smaller screens is for standard definition. They use the same signal for both, just have the sides chopped off.

still...they need to have a different feed if they're going to do that on us! it looks terrible on those of us who have upgraded to HD
