RANKED #24 IN 1st HARRIS POLL

We will have played 3 more games before the first BCS poll is out. And by that I mean, we will have beaten a ranked Missouri and two other conference opponents. Good enough to be ranked.

If you think we're gonna be able to hang with Missouri you're out of your mind. This season is over.

Rest of the season results...Mark my words:

Iowa State - WIN (not by much)

Missouri - LOSE (we will get destroyed)

Ok. State - LOSE

A&M - WIN

Texas - LOSE (Destroyed again)

KU - LOSE

KSU - WIN

Colorado - Not sure about this one

I also am worried about Mizzou, Texas, and KU, but I don't think we'll lose to Oklahoma State. They're defense is probably worse than ours. A&M is probably too one-dimensional even for our defense, plus I think the Nebraska passing O is going to roll in that game. I have no idea what to expect from Colorado, either. It's definitely going to be in a hostile environment, considering what we've done to them the last two years.

The season definitely isn't over, though.

Thats the spirit!!!

Worried about Missouri? C'mon. Have you seen Mizzou play this season at all? The Nebraska Offense can score more points than any team we play the rest of the season. Defense would be a plus, but not needed to win. The only game that our D will need to make a stop will be against OU. I don't like it, but its true.

I really really really want to agree with you about this... But my optimism has betrayed me too many times already this season.

The thing that worries me about these shoot-out games is that it places such insane pressure on offensive execution. If both teams score at will, then the game basically ends up being determined by turnovers, which we have been really bad about this year. I don't know if the offense can keep from beating itself in every game this year.

Also, I wouldn't say defense is a "plus."

I know that defense is important in football. I just dont think that the Huskers will depend on defense to win games. I wish they could be depended on; it sure would make games a whole lot easier to win, but they cant.

PS- I get bonus points because i used a semi-colon.

But not an apostrophe. ;)

I also feel fairly pessimistic right now, but to say the season is over at 3-1 is just asinine. No one is saying the defense can't improve. If they continue playing they way they have been, you're predictions are probably right on, but I'm not counting them out yet.
