Rankings

Oregon stayed in the polls, we did not get into the polls.
That poll has not been updated yet. Notice that FSU is still#2 and Iowa still #13.

It states updated 9-18-2016 and look on the ducks rank and read that they lost to Nebraska 32-35

Yes, game results updated. Rankings not. Do you think Iowa will keep a top 15 ranking?

When do they get the ranking out now? 1600 or 1700 today?

Twitter will explode with commentary when the new polls are released. Hasn't happened yet, so it's pretty clear these aren't updated results.

Sagarin's results update almost live at the conclusion of the final game. He has us at 21, up one from last week. Oregon was at 32 or 34 last week, has fallen to 36.

I am the villiage idiot today...............................

Sounds like sagarin had us pegged pretty well! I'll have to look at his rankings more.

FSU is still #2 OMG!!!

Anyhoo, I'll go with... #20 in coaches #23 in AP.

Auburn received two votes in the Coaches Poll despite being 1-2 (and that win was vs. Arkansas State).

I called it

Good call! I expected us to be lower. But I'll take it!

I'm actually glad to see Ole Miss stay ranked at 1-2. They shouldn't be penalized for losing to Bama by only five points.
They also shouldn't be ranked high under the assumption that they are great. So far they have given up 40+ to two not amazing offenses, including a loss to one that was shut down by Louisville during a boat race.
At some point a ranking should be reflective of your actual record. Not your preseason presumed prowess.

NU at #20 means that the Huskers could be top 15 (maybe higher) by the time they play OSU. An even close game in that contest puts NU in good shape to finish the season ranked fairly high. There's no one on the schedule left who is as close to as talented as Nebraska.
