Quite honestly, I think :bigredn:  takes the cake on that one.   How does a team that recruit Top 25 talent produce this kind of result?  At least for Iowa St, they average around 50th in recruiting rankings and have worked their way into a Top 20 team on average.  We take talent like a Wandale and ruin it ... or at least make it want to transfer.  I'd take that "underachieving team" and be frustrated with it ... over what we get/have [but I do understand your statement and frustration].
