RB C.J. Verdell [Oregon - Signed LOI]

I'm not going to be super bummed if we don't land him. We will still have 4 rb's (5 if Rose) on scholly after next year. Leaves us room to go after a big name, TJ Pledger comes to mind.

The quote I saw was from 247- Oregons site for his commitment article. The line was a little different. "I can move over after next year and take carries after Royce is gone." So I was a little off.

The fact that he decided to Visit Oregon this weekend is pretty telling though unfortunately.
Thanks Matty.

I'll be curious to see if they will use a full time feature back or if they want to just get multiple guys the ball out of the back field. I'm sure all of this was discussed with Verdell this weekend.

Without the visit I think he was N.

After the visit I'd guess he is 90/10 Oregon

I wasn't expecting him to flip our way. Would have been awesome, but we are okay losing here.

Bradley is going to do good things here I think. Next year will provide a good chance to go after one we really want.

Wish this kid the best at Oregon

Coach Davis needs to hit a home run next year, I think. Not that he is a bad recruiter, but he's been here long enough to have those long-term recruiting relationships that garner interest from the top-shelf RBs. I'm not seeing it, I could be wrong.

From what I've read/heard he is a lot better coach than recruiter. Which is fine, just have donte or someone help him out. Only need 1 kid per class
