It would be interesting to know how the timing played into this. Originally he said he wasn't going to commit until after his season. I think we really liked him but that's a pretty tough spot to put all our eggs in one basket at a position where you might only take one guy.
Maybe we were fine with either. But it would kind of stink if we liked Williams better but didn't think we could afford to wait. And then he doesn't either.
