RB Kendall Bussey Jr [Texas A&M - Signed LOI]

Ya 247 is saying the same thing, he will likely decommit

Sucks when you honor your word to someone but it isn't honored back

Yeah recruiting

Not to be in meltdown mode, but not a crazy surprise, several saw it coming if true.

Plenty of talent on the roster and plenty we can recruit next class.

These are the type of recruiting battles Bo needs to start winning if we ever want to get over the hump. At least it is not a position of need.

If you wanna play pro ball and wanna be featured in a run first offense come here. A&M throws the majority of the time and just lol at Tennessee.

I still am holding out hope that he is coming here.

However, if he chooses not to, at least go to a better program. Don't dump your pretty good looking gf to date a fat chick.

I do see that a lot of kids are enamored with the SEC atmosphere. Nebraska needs to make its gamedays fun so kids get a "high" off it. Miami games are an anomaly when it comes to game day atmosphere.

He isn't making a smart choice. He will be stuck behind a 5-star true freshman that is already their main featured back and many others. He is making a choice of a sudden rush of emotions and not with his brain.

I think I found what you are talking about.
Hi all, 4-star Kendall Bussey's father has told Nebraska that they can start looking for other running backs and I am hearing that Tennessee if where he wants to play. He loved the visit he took and wants to get back on campus as soon as he can again to commit or he could just outright commit by phone. I assume he's a take for the Vols as they have been recruiting him hard but this might not move as fast as you want simply because Bussey's dad is very good friends with coach Fisher at Nebraska so there is some sensitivity to deal with here and the Vols are involved with other running backs as well.

Texas A&M is his other top choice right now but I hear the Vols offer was a dream and he loved the trip compared to his trip to Nebraska for their game against Purdue. More to come as we track this.

Bussey Sr is still lobbying for Nebraska, but Bussey Jr has liked Tennessee since he was a little kid. Hope he stays.

"He has a soft spot for Tennessee," said Kendall Bussey, Sr. by phone Wednesday night. "But on the 'business decision' side of things, I think he's got a great opportunity to play at Nebraska and play early."

It's the elder Bussey who has paid for his son to unofficially visit Nebraska several times, and the elder Bussey who said he called NU wide receivers coach Rich Fisher Wednesday to tell him that Kendall Bussey, Jr. is strongly considering the Volunteers. Kendall Bussey, Sr. said his son hasn't decommitted, but Nebraska will have to recruit him just as hard as Tennessee has begun to do. The elder Bussey expected Fisher and running backs coach Ron Brown would call his son - a top 100 prospect according to Rivals - either Wednesday night or later this week.

"I wouldn't say Nebraska is out of it by any means," Kendall Bussey, Sr. said, but his son has "loved" Tennessee ever since he attended a track meet in Knoxville as a 10-year-old. When the Volunteers offered, the Busseys attended the Tennessee-Alabama game. They followed it up with a trip to Lincoln for Nebraska-Purdue. Bussey said his son loved both trips, but may have been more excited for the Tennessee trip since he hadn't been there in some time.

Once Kendall Bussey, Jr. made it clear to his dad this week that he was looking hard at Tennessee, the elder Bussey called Fisher. The two played college football together at Colorado.

"I'm fighting for Nebraska," Bussey said. "But he's the one who has to make the choice."

I feel like if nothing else I respect they way they are going about this, with Bussey Sr being open and honest and talking, just hearing it from him instead of guessing and rumors makes me respect them more regardless of the decision they make

That being said I'll still be pisssd

Agree 100%... People always say listen/don't listen to mom and dad depending on where NU stands in each situation. KBS has it figured out. Provide guidance but ultimately it is up to the kid... Hope NU pulls this one out.
