RB Marcus Lattimore

One of the nation's finest rushers, Marcus Lattimore (Duncan, S.C./Byrnes), has narrowed his list to five schools; South Carolina, North Carolina, Oregon, Penn State and Auburn, ESPN affiliate Web site TheBigSpur.com reports.

"That will not change. Those are my final five. Those are the schools that I just felt the most comfortable with the coaches and the players," he said.

Steve Spurrier, the South Carolina head coach, visited Lattimore in his hometown of Duncan, S.C., on Saturday, according to The State newspaper. Auburn coach Gene Chizik and several of his assistant coaches visited Lattimore on Friday.

Lattimore has said he's only considering Auburn and South Carolina. He says he'll announce the winner Tuesday night, the day before signing day.
