RB Stephen Carr [USC - Signed LOI]

If our staff has gone (Bo) from not wanting to swing for the fences because it was a waste of time (generally is, they're not wrong) TO "fairly confident we can flip the #13 prospect in the country a month to signing day"...

AND they can pull it off....

By Golly we might just dig ourselves out of this talent trench quicker than you'd think.

It's not hard to recruit to Nebraska. It's just hard to recruit and if you think it's a waste of time to work on big fish, you aren't a good recruiter.

It IS hard to recruit to Nebraska. The conversion rates on big fish ARE low - but good recruiters don't care, they ball out anyways. JMO.

I think there is degree of difficulty between programs, but with the right coach(es), the right message, and enough hustle there are plenty of kids willing to listen.

.... we haven't even gotten a commit from a big fish yet, much less a signature on a dotted line. Chill

Likewise my friend. No need to call the year a failure just yet.

Lamar Jackson

I'm not holding my breathe on this one. An Arizona insider doesn't inspire much confidence in me, especially since there's been no actual news other than that regarding Carr and Nebraska. Seems like a lot of speculation. I'm totally for the staff going after the flip, I don't think RB is a huge need in this class and we might as well swing for the fences.

Most seem to think Keyshawn Johnson Jr. was a pretty big deal.

You're comparing players ranked above 150 to a player ranked in the top 10.

We regularly sign players in the same range Gebbia, Roberts, and Johnson are ranked. "Big Fish", to me, would be top 40-50 ranked players. We haven't signed one of those in a loonnnngggg time.
