There was a lot of discussion on this in the megathread...i think somewhere between page 300 and page 310....where Benning had some beef with Frost back from the 90s.  It sounded like sour grapes on Bennings part.

The reaction to this hire has been stunning. My wife actually wanted to put our flag up last night. You talk about the shot in the arm the fan base needed!!! Hell, Spring Game will be sold out. The players are excited. This feels great!!!

Never been a fan of Benning. Knowing how he is, it doesn't surprise me at all.

Yeah who would have guessed benching one of your best safeties to move your nfl caliber corner to safety so the #1 safety recruit in the country could play corner would be a bad idea.
