Really wanted the shutout

Well we can credit the officials for not getting the shutout. I'm not real big on crying about bad calls but they were awful at the worst times for us today.

We didn't get much help from the refs today but it didn't matter much on their one scoring drive. They got two crazy catches that really made that drive work.

Overall, a very solid game by the Blackshirts. Iowa only had about 155 yds of offense when we went up 20-0 in the fourth quarter.

I mean....a TD with three minutes left? It was pretty much a shutout. I hear you though, its always nice to see the Hawks zero out.

The refs helped them along, but I'd say going into turtle-mode on O was also a culprit. Harder on the D when the O is just trying to not turn the ball over and burn a little clock.

Bo took his foot off of the gas too early in my opinion. 27-0 would not of been "rubbing it in". We would shut them out if we didn't get so conserative so early.

Rex was worn out, we fired that gun a lot today, i think there were more pass plays to go to, but Beck was pounding sand up Iowa's a$$.
