Recruiting/Signed players and cheating...what are you okay with?

I know lots of people think all the SEC schools cheat, they probably do, I don't know and really I don't care if they do.

So, my question is, what would you, as a Husker fan be "okay" with?

Free "extra" meals

A car once they get on campus

A lame job where they get paid not to show up

Free Apartment

Fake classes

Strip club visits on recruiting trips

What are you okay with and what aren't you okay with?

Recruiting

Free "extra" meals - Sure they get something on their visit

Strip club visits on recruiting trips - No

On campus

Free "extra" meals - No, sports nutrition (I don't believe that Syracuse bball player)

A car once they get on campus - No

A lame job where they get paid not to show up - No

Free Apartment - Already get a housing stipend if not in a dorm

Fake classes - Easy happens, but fake, no. Like the Miss-who? bball player who got 18 hrs of summer school, no

I guess it depends on who we want to be. Are we upset when we suspect Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama and the Kentucky's of the world have offered under the table payouts to recruits because it's wrong or because we wish we could do the same and not get caught?

I actually enjoy having a program that does things the right way and expect it to stay that way. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it provides us one of our few real advantages in recruiting. We can honestly tell the young men and their parents that they're joining a program that instills the right values and will help them to become better men. The reality is that we will never be able to out cheat/recruit the SEC types by trying to do it their way anyway.

Now, I'm not naive enough to think none of our players get free drinks or meals on occasion from fans, or maybe even more from a random booster. I'd also bet one or two has made an agent friend before leaving the program. The important thing though is that it isn't part of the culture of the program and that our coaches are doing their best to teach these kids to do the right thing.

Seeing young men like Abdullah and Bell represent our school makes me proud to be a Nebraska fan and proud to have a coaching staff that cares about developing their players as young men, not just as football players.

None of the above if they are against the rules.

If the program I an a fan of can only be competitive if they cheat, then there is something wrong and I can find something else to do with my time and money.

I agree with both of these statements from Dylan and Big Red Buster. I really would hate this sport if my team went the easy route and tried cheating its way to a title.
