This is darned near word for word what my response was about to be! You're such an answer thief. It would be so cool! Imagine how it would look with a B******!
:sarcasm
See what I did there? Lumped it in with the other worst idea ever to come across the board.
You like the Smurf Turf? You may be the only sane person I've ever heard say that.
I personally think it looks retarded, and it's even worse when the Broncos wear their all blue unis. Seriously Boise, you guys look ridiculous!
First, I'm against it because I think it's a horrible idea. We already have the Sea of Red in the stands, but a red turf would just be too much red. Plus I really don't think the majority of the fans would like it.Just curious, why are you guys so against it? Tradition?
I just think it would* make our stadium that much more unique.
Edit: *corrected my tense.
I agree 100%. It's as stupid as the B****** idea. Why would we copy other schools? We did it first and do it best.Absolutely not.
We are Nebraska, gimmicks like that are unnecessary here. Frankly it is nearly blasphemy to even bring an idea like that up. :dumdum
No kidding. People here are WAY too uptight. Wow.While I agree it wouldn't be too brilliant of an idea, some of you are just Nazis with when it comes to someone bringing up something new.

This is the internet fellas. A message board for discussing random thoughts about our favorite team. No reason to jump on me.

Actually, studies have shown that Wikipedia is an incredibly reliable source of information, on par or better than Encyclopædia Britannica. Regardless, I downloaded the NCAA 2009-10 rulebook and read the section regarding the field of play. There are no references to color aside from the yard lines/numbers being white. So in this case, Wikipedia is correct.First, I'm against it because I think it's a horrible idea. We already have the Sea of Red in the stands, but a red turf would just be too much red. Plus I really don't think the majority of the fans would like it.Just curious, why are you guys so against it? Tradition?

Second, wikipedia is not a valid source for any sort of formal information. It's ok to get a general idea from it, but not base an argument off of it. However, I myself tried to find information on it and found nothing, so it's possible that it may be true. However, if it weren't a rule, teams would know about it and you'd think that there would be more than just 1 team out of the hundreds of college football teams in the nation (including other divisions) that would color their turfs differently.
