Remember 3 years ago???

The solich years made me really interested in football. I liked it, but honestly, I didn't care that much about what was going on because Nebraska won a lot. I watched them blow guys up when I was younger, that's what Nebraska football was. There wasn't any reason to ask why, because it was just that nebraska was so much better Than just about everyone-- what's to analyze? There weren't any tricks or stunts, people got trucked on both sides of the ball. They could be ready for exactly what's coming, and it just couldn't be stopped.

Then when solich took over, something changed. Huskers started to... lose? Is that possible? By the end of his time at the helm I started paying attention and asking, "Why did NU lose?" I started paying attention and getting interested and VERY annoyed with the Defense.

Once BC took over... I was cautiously optimistic but not happy about it (that 9-3 season was pretty good). Ugh... it didn't take long to stop being mad and just learn to laugh because it was ridiculous and there wasn't any sense to anything. The defense was awful (and I feel SICK for the guys who had to play under Coz and end up being indirectly maligned)... I didn't expect nebraska to win.

It's weird to actually have expectations instead of feelings of, "Well, it would be nice to win; I just don't want to be humiliated again," for the first time in a while. Solich and Bohl could find ways to lose games, but BC... wow... I had to start to doubt that winning was even in the top 3 or 4 of his priorities for a game. Scoring 51 and losing? Who does that?
