Remember USC Last Season?

I don't wish any opponent to have an injury like that. What "goes around comes around". Matt Herien was never the same after his leg was broken.

I'm NOT implying that the NU defense had a dirty hit on USC last year. I don't think Matt's injury was caused by dirty tackling. Accidents like that happen in football, just hope that every game we play this year is "accident free".... for BOTH TEAMS!

His name is Ryan Powdrell.....it was his only carry of the game.

Yes, it was Ryan. This is the incident I referred to in another post about a month ago as I recollected how the Cornhusker trainers rushed to Ryan's aid without waiting for the SC trainers. As I said before, that was a class act by Nebraska and appreciated by SC fans.

On a side note, we had no backup for him, and our running game suffered the rest of the year for not having a good blocking/running fullback.

No injury affected us last year more than this one.

I'm just glad he was able to recover and has a shot at the pros. Best of luck to him - that was a nasty injury.

That was one of the most disgusting injuries I've ever seen. His foot was on backwards! *shudders*

Anyone remember Crouch looking backwards at KSU? Don't tell me that wasn't fortunate, he is very lucky that wasn't serious. And as amateur as they are, KSU still enjoys that.
