Maybe if we all get a petition going they'd understand how much it means. I don't know an OU or Nebraska fan in the world who wouldn't sign.

The ADs of both programs need to treat this rivalry the way that the rivalry between Alabama and Tennessee is treated. Although Alabama is SEC West and Tennessee is SEC East, the two teams still manage to play every year. How can you do that and still keep it balanced within conference play? Simple. Just rotate the two conference teams of the opposite division, that exclude both Nebraska and Oklahoma, every two years. Let's take 2006 for example. Nebraska plays Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State from the South division. Replace Texas with Oklahoma for the next two years. After those two years are up, use the team that was replaced with Oklahoma, one other South division team(Tech or Baylor), and keep Oklahoma. That's how it's done in the SEC and how it should be done between NU and OU.

Saturday's Meeting Is First Of Unranked OU/NU Teams
LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Huskers began their preparations on Tuesday for Saturday's game against the Oklahoma Sooners.
It was a 2½-hour practice inside Memorial Stadium. On the injury front, wide receiver Isaiah Fluellen is getting closer to playing. He practiced on Tuesday after suffering a high ankle sprain a couple of weeks ago.
Nebraska and Oklahoma meet for the 82nd time, and the sixth since the formation of the Big 12 Conference 10 years ago. But this game has a much different flavor to it than past meetings. This is the first time in 43 years that neither team is ranked nationally coming into the game.
The players say it's just as big a game now as it was then.
The loss to Missouri last week was tough for team members to take, but the Huskers are ready for OU, they said during Tuesday's weekly news conference.
"Just because of that, we're going to fight so much harder, because of the magnitude of this game," said senior tackle Seppo Evwaraye.
The Huskers said it's not the rankings that make this rivalry so special.
"It's a real big deal," said sophomore linebacker Bo Ruud. "Biggest game, that's always a big deal."
The last time these two teams met in Lincoln, national championship hopes were at stake. On the line four years later is a division race and bowl eligibility.
"It's a pivotal game, let's face it," said head coach Bill Callahan. "With where we're at, in the division and conference races, it's a very important game."
"It's a must-win game," said Ruud. "If we want to stay alive in the divisional race, it's a must-win."
