So....how soon will we have a new coach?

Will we need to wait till March madness is over?
Depends who they hire.

Very few coaches will leave their team if they are going to be in the dance, some asst coaches might leave though.

I wonder what Moos is thinking...you coach, experienced coach, assistant coach on a great team, good coach at a lower level/conference.

That’s the only excitement around the program right now.....guessing the answers to those questions.

If we can’t get one of the big fish out there, I’d like to go with a top assistant from a well coached team. Rather have someone who has seen/done it before than a mid major coach who had a decent year against bad competition. For example, a top assistant from Gonzaga, Nova, Virginia. Well coached teams with a history of success

a lot of those mid major coaches have come from well coached teams. so which would you rather have, someone who hasnt run their own program but come from a well  coached program or someone who has experience running their own program and have been in a well coached program?

If we can't get someone with proven success at Div 1 level, I'll take the guy whose been an assistant at a major successful program and now has spent a couple years at a mid major being successful as a head guy.

What about a guy like Matt McMahon or Rick Byrd?  They coach in a pretty awful conference so that may be more of the key to their success than anything but they've both done fairly well nonetheless
