Replay on ESPNU

Couple of thoughts.

I watched the replay and saw as many late hits out of bounds committed by our guys as the plays many of us have been complaining about, among other non-calls. More importantly, as a fan base, we need to quit the charade. We need to stop telling everyone how great we are as fans. We're not. We're not different or smarter or better than any other passionate fan base and it seems hypocritical that we tell everyone that we are. Fact: we don't clap for the opponent if they come to our house and beat us. We don't. So, the fact that we do when they lose is not just stupid, it's classless and offensive. Can we just admit that? Be honest with ourselves?

We are a passionate fan base and are desperate for a championship. But, we aren't better than any other fan base.

To be fair, I think when people talk about Nebraska fans being the "greatest fans" I think they're mostly just talking about me.

What charade is the fan base committting? Is being patently nice and humble a charade? Besides, it is written that "Through these gates. . . " therefore it must be true.

First you say we don't, then you say we do. I'm sure we could be more honest with ourselves if we knew which one you wanted us to be honest with ourselves about.

Yeah.....

I would rather be part of a fan base that yells profanity and throws things at the opposing fans, players and coaches.

Not.

Dude, I have been to so many losses I'm starting to lose track.

We clap for the opponents, win or lose.
