One of the episodes of the original Law and Order was based on a murder-suicide type event involving very prominent administrators at my college. It aired a year or two after I graduated but if you knew about what happened it was obvious where they got the idea. Very surreal.

No charges being filed, according to the Lincoln police chief and Lancaster county attorney at the press conference today.

Joe Kelly (county attorney) and Jim Peschong (Chief of LPD) both stated that there was no proof beyond a reasonable doubt that a sexual assault had occurred.

I believe that the University Title IX office can still suspend players. The investigations are separate.

However, I would be surprised if that happens from what is being said this morning.

Wrong. No facts need to be released. This will be forgotten in a few weeks, especially as the comments point toward he-said/she-said, or withdrawn consent.
