listen here...it WAS an honest typo...and ya know what F@#$@# you to the people that call me a terrible fan..look at what youre doing...ahh i can't freaking stand you people that call yoursefl fans ...am i pissed that a record has been broken that has been aroudn longer than i have..YES...but ya know what...i've learned something very huge in life..GET OVER IT..crappy things happen..but ya know what...it's still a game. Give those kids credit for their lack of fight, blame the coaches for not motivating, and lack of play calling, For those of you that make this your life... sorry folks...i'm as HUGE of a husker fan as the rest of you honest to god...do or die, no matter what fans out there... but you need to accept a few things, mullets are gone, disco is dead and the huskers can't be unGodly good  forever, this is our down period, give the team time to lick wounds, get players,staff...what not and get this big red MACHINE back on track...until then... just go with it and enjoy the ride... how long have you all been fans...I have since the day i was born in this beautiful state... and have not wavered since... because adversity will truly show your true reds..and loyalty to this program...show the disgust all you want but under this regime it will get you no where...so until eiither i am hired as head coach  :lol:   or another AD is hired ...we're going to have to deal and cope with this folks...sorry to say but it happens... football happens, life happens...but ya know what our worse day hasn't even happened yet because your still breathin fresh HUSKER air and the team is still funded...till then i will unwaveringly fly that huge red N on my porch....GBR

Im sorry for all of your heartache and turmoil, best wishes to you and your family :thumbs . There ARE things more important than college football, I will agree.

That being said, the majority have an interest in this program, be it financial or emotional, and it does have an important niche in our lives, thats just being an NU fan.

I just dont see where people like you have to be condescending and say that if you are upset about the direction of the program, that you are not a true fan, that you are a bandwaggoner. I have been a fan since the day I was born, NU football brings back some of the fondest memories of my life. They were a huge part of my Saturdays growing up, the 81 OU game, the 82 OB, the 84 OB, 83 OU, 94 OB, 95 OB, 97 FB, 98 OB, etc, etc, etc, we all have emotional ties. We ALL freaking care about this program.

Some of us just hate to see all of the pride and tradition surrounding it destroyed from within. Just because some of us dont agree with the direction and express it doesnt mean that we support the TEAM, the PROGRAM, or the STATE any less. It also doesnt make us less of a fan. I could just as easily say that by you backing the regime in place, you support the destruction of the program. That would make YOU not be the real fan :wacko:

Get off of your high horse. We are ALL in this together, whether we disagree on the direction, or how this whole pud/billy c experiment will turn out, in the long we all want to see this program claim its righful place at the top of college football, and be the envy of all others. Quit being condescending, we are ALL true fans, and we ALL have a right to voice our opinions.

Are you a mind reader cause over the time I have read these boards you have made claims about what coach c would do or not do. What he would bring to huskers and what he wouldn't. Unlike you I support whatever staff is in to the end, cause you know what they not you or me control what happens to the huskers.!@ After A loss I still go on wearing my red nebraska shirts in texas taking all the sh#t the longhorns can dish out. The falling off the program didn't start with BC it may not end with BC but I will give him and these players my full support. You say you are a fan then you post with a name FormerFan and never say anything with a positive tone toward the program and when any little slip up happens you are ready to get on these boards and say I told you so well grow up bro cause Billy c as you like to call him is here for another year. And these type of post potential recruits could read So I would be fair to say you could be part of the PROBLEM. Gee I dunno, the first losing season in 40 years, on the verge of 2 in a row, the team is getting worse, not better.

You're right, Im not a fortune teller, I just see how this team has regressed under billy c. (as the Raiders did) and I checked the records of the staff, and saw that there is no real amount of sustained success with them. Could my predictions be wrong, sure. Do you wanna bet on it?

BTW, I dont have to support the coach to support the team. Does every American have to support the President????? :wacko:

As far as recruits, last years class is the only saving grace for this staff, and as of right now, with the staffs incompetence, they have wasted alot of that. If they keep it up, there wont be a saving grace this year :blink:

Last thing, formerfan, doesnt say "formerNUfan" or "formerHuskerfan" or "formerNEfan." Get a clue, dude :dumdum

I agree that the program obvoiusly isn't getting better but calling for Callahans head isn't doing anything to start this program on the right track either. I remember in 98 people were calling for another head, and now we cry for him tocome back. if this guy doesn't change this thing around in a few years*(3-4) than i will be the first to say fire his a$$... but the guys did come out flat and that is a fact... if a kid can't get up for a game that he has probably been playing since jr high or before, than what the hell...you can lead a horse to water to but you can't make him drink...you can claim to be a formerfan and rip out one that is a current fan. whatever... this is supposed to be the best board on the internet but its not any better because there are just as many dumba@@ here as there are anywhere else....i'm not saying that you can't be upset...go ahead...i'm pissed too but deal with it for a while... every good thing has to have an end and we will rise again....look at bama and Notre Dame...they're back... we will rise again :bang

I wouldn't say they are bringing the destruction, I would say they have brought the destruction. It's good to support your coaches but it's also good to realize when to pull the plug. That time seems near after yesterday.

I would say you could be part of the problem too. Acting like there is not a problem can be a major turnoff to recruits. You think they want to play for coaches that won't change and can hardly make .500 at Nebraska? I don't think so. I always wear my red after games we lose. I always put up with adversity but I don't like the thought of mediocrity. Saying everything is ok here is not going to convince the recruits, who read these posts, that it is.

yes, and how many coaches did ND have to go through to get a good one? and they were not afraid to can the bad ones along the way either......see this for what it really is.......poor, poor coaches!

While we are at it look at the coaching turn around for Oklahoma as well. Three coaches between Switzer and Stoops. Not to bash Blake, for he is one of the coaches I think they should keep.
