Bo also has a family that he might not want to move for the third time in three years. He probally wants some stability in his life right now. That is why he will stay at OU. IMO.
You underestimate Bo Pelini. He is one pompous a$$ who had a fit because one of the top division 1 programs in America didn't want to give a shot to an unproven, mentally unbalanced defensive coordinator. He would jump at the chance to help bring the D back in Florida. Right now he is basically not going into unchartered territory. Oklahoma's defense is neither better nor worse than it was last season, so no impact can be felt by Pelini's presence.

Yeah what he said.

i'd say he's more of a cocky son-of-a-b!^@h, but that's just me.

would agree with everything stated EXCEPT the 'mentally unbalanced'-part. pelini had fire and showed his emotion. there's no sin in that.

agreed. pelini wants his own program. bad. REAL BAD. his family has got to know that by now. pelini will go to florida if offered the chance and he'll have stoops' blessing. bob's no dummy and he's bo's friend.

does that make bo look opportunistic? hell yah. but the guy's got drive and goals.

more power to him.

Should be able to make a bowl.  We'll be back guys....
should? I would say maybe at best. With these coaches I can't say there is better than a 40% chance of us doing so.
With good ole Frankie baby we would be playing for a NC right? Wait the man who made Frank (Crouch) graduated. Are you ever going to give these guys a chance dude? It is a state job you could go apply if you could better.

I didn't say we would be playing for national title. That was a year or two away with frank and bo. We would of however had a hell of a year.

agree, I Hope that we can beat Iowa State
I hope we can too, but our BC could f up a wet dream.

Right now, the only thing that will make up for the abomination of a season that we're having, is to beat OU, and we're not even gonna do that.

So, if we tank the rest of the season, which is complete plausable, what's gonna happen to Billy-ball in Lincoln? Is SP gonna be ok with that?

Pedersen's in his own world. He fired Solich because he wanted what was left of the history of the coaching staff gone so it would be his show. That way if we actually turn things around in a few years, he'll come out from under his desk and claim credit for everything. Even if we lose the rest of our games, there's no way that Callahan will lose his job this year. But I can tell you if next year starts off like this one, they both better fear for their jobs.

I would imagine. As much as you think it's the same, Callahan's situation isn't the same as Solich's.

You're right, the situation is different. Now that we have demonstrated by our hiring practices that winning is all that matters, Callahan should fear for his job more than Solich did.

I love how everyone has written the Oklahoma game in as a lost. I hope that Bill tells his players that they have no chance down there. It would take a 100% turn around from where are season is going now but stranger things have happened.
I'll jump at that action...

I know you really arent supposed to put a condition in your vote, but I dont care. heres the deal. When you think about it (as crazy as it is) - there is NO way we should lose this game tomorrow. As many have said around here, our talent level is not THAT below MUs. So it goes without saying but it will come down to coaching (ahhhhhhhh I know I know scary thought)... but Pinkel just is NOT that good ofa coach. Seriously the guys kinda a wack job, and get easily rattled. So IMO, as long as BC and co dont LOSE it for us, we will come out on top. B/c with all the media hubabbaloo thats been going on with questioning the players character and on and on.. and with the 1994 championship team getting recrowned at the game, and with homecoming, and the redout movement and alll the hype that comes with this game - HOLY CRAP THESE GUYS MAY NEED A PULSE CHECK IF THEY LOSE THIS THING!

So IF they DO have a pulse and we pull out the MU game - my prediction in the poll above stands, and we will end up 3-1 in our last 4. HOWEVER, this is where my condition begins. IF we lose... (the result of no pulse being detected on any of the players) and the dirt is officially kicked over the grave and the 2004 tombstone erected... then Im afraid we could see a landslide of huge proportions. If you think the media blitz is bad now... what if we dumped this one and then the ISU game and then.... UH OH... we are in big big trouble. B/c at that point I could actually see the players plain quitting b/c of all the negative energy against them... they just dont seem to have that team leader and dont seem to entirely trust the coaches enuf to run through a brick wall for them like the TO players would have, so Im afraid if this team starts sliding it could be the beginning of an avalanche of OU 90's proportions.

So with all that said, I think we'll do just fine tomorrow and wrap up the rest of the season on a positive note, prepping us for a run back to glory with Cally and co. at the wheel over the next few yrs. Anybody with me???!!!

GBR!!!!!

Thank God for ISU uuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmm???????.......If ISU wins out - they win the Big 12 North - cause they would beat NU and Missouri to win all tie breakers. If ISU beats Missouri and KSU and Nebraska beat the Cyclones - and Colorado loses to one of the Kansas schools, we could lose to both Oklahoma and Colorado - cause KSU would have 5 loses - CU 5 loses - Missouri and ISU 4 with NU but we win the tie breakers. This could be a really crazy ending to the regular season!!! Ironically - by winning the Big 12 with a 4-4 record - we would be in jeopardy of having a losing season - but losing the BIG 12 championship game and then a bowl game
