Return to dominance

After this Saturday, and the pummeling put on the Demon Decons, will the Chicken Littles see that last week was a bump on the road to glory.

I see a record setting day for Zach, Ross & Lucky both over 100 yards and a stiffling defence set the tone for a huge 52-7 victory

Wow, that's awfully optomistic. I say we improve, and our D line will contain their rushing attack. I think WF will get a bit of a passing game going. I think our offense will be hit and miss. I think that later int he game we'll get the passing game rolling pretty good. Overall, I say we'll be around 50% on 3rd downs. I think our rushing game will improve alot. I think the OL will step up this week allowing Ross to shoot the gaps. If that holds true, I don't expect to see Lucky in there until maybe 4th quarter sometime. If the OL doesn't improve, I think Lucky will be in there early. It'll be a struggle, but I see us coming up on top by a couple TDs: 27-13

Anyone ever hear that song Deacon Blues by Steely Dan?

They got a name for the winners in the world

I want a name when I lose

They call Alabama the Crimson Tide

Call me Deacon Blues

Wake's so bad Steeley Dan made fun of them!

That's a pretty ironic statement. Think about what you just said

It is all about keeping the mojo positive, bro.
Ya, believe me when I'm at a game, watching it on tv, or even listening to it on the radio (which I have to do this weekend, because I have to go to a wedding.... which starts @ 6:00!!!!!!! Going to sneak in a radio and earbuds, lol), I have all the optimism in the world. BUT, between saturdays, it's time to be realistic. That's the time to analyze what the team has actually done, and what that means for the game the next week, as well as some predictions as to who's going to improve, who might backslide a bit. After we have a close game against a Div. 2 team, It's a bit unrealistic to predict a 52-7 victory against a much better Div. 1 team. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE for you to be right, and it's not impossible. The 7 points for WF isn't unrealistic. But 52 points for our offense, is a bit of a stretch... unless something really breaks loose. I see us improving, but not that dramatically.

On the wedding front... I'm just hoping nothing drastic happens that I have to jump up and yell in church, lol.

Dude! I hate it when that happens! My sister had her wedding during the 2000 NU-TT game!

Did anyone listen to Jim Rome today. He did not have kind words for Callahan and the Huskers. He thinks we have a lot to worry about. He usually isn't this bold unless someone has made an idiot out of themselves. Did the coach do a repeat of his hillbilly crack, or is Rome being Rome. I don't believe this is the the year we return to dominance, but I am hoping it is a step in the right direction. Another step in the right direction would be to get rid of Callahan, but that is another argument. Rome says we need to beat Wake by 5 touchdowns to make a clear statement...That will not happen.

I heard it, and it was Rome being Rome.

But I agree with what he said.

I was in a wedding during the 02 Texass-NU game, and the bride really got pissed when she caught me and most of the groomsmen in the kitchen watching the game

If we limit our mistakes we can beat Wake by five TD's. The dropped passes and fumbles cost us a lot against Maine. But we need better production out of our offensive line. Add in our receviers coming back healthy and we just might see some points roll up on the board.

NU 49

WF 14
