Thank god we have Rex for another year! I wish were keeping some of those seniors, but I'm happy for all of them despite some inconsistent performances this year. Huskers forever and a place in our hearts forever.

Gotta love these stats:

Burkhead raised his season rushing total to 1,268 yards, moving up from 20th to 11th on the single-season rushing list. Burkhead will need 32 yards in Nebraska’s bowl game to crack the top 10 on the Nebraska single-season rushing list.

- Burkhead also moved up five spots to 13th on the Nebraska career rushing list at 2,565. In Friday’s game, Burkhead moved past Roger Craig (2,446 yards), Rick Berns (2,449), Dan Alexander (2,456), Keith Jones (2,488) and Correll Buckhalter (2,522). Next ahead of Burkhead is Jammal Lord (2,573). Burkhead is 179 yards from reaching the top 10 on the Nebraska career rushing list.

- Burkhead’s two-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter gave him at least one touchdown in 11 of 12 games this season. He has 15 rushing touchdowns and 17 overall touchdowns in 2011, tying him for seventh place on the NU single-season touchdowns list.

I'm sorry but the positive tone of this thread is going to force it to have to be moved to another board, maybe even another team's board.

If there was ever a real-life definition of "workhorse" ...no question it would be Rex.

Not close to enough superlatives in the world for this guy. Easily my favorite (and the public's favorite) Husker since Crouch.
