Rhule or Fickel?

Rhule. Fickell results wise has been a big step down from where wiscy been the last 15 years. Unfortunately for us this just the same s#!t song and dance since 2014

Edit: Fickell was extended last year, so now I am not sure. Both get an extreme amount in buyouts, so I'll say a tie.

Edit 2:  seeing what Iowa did to Fickell tonight, I'll say him.

Rhule will last longer because we at Nebraska are all about giving coaches 5 years to fail. I would not be surprised if Rhule gets an extension at the end of the season.

I think Trev taking on Rhule’s absurd Carolina contract will keep him here thru at least 2026 no matter what unfortunately.

He’ll keep making “Championship mindset” speeches after stupid losses, the ministry of propaganda will keep pumping out their cute little wannabe Hard Knocks documentary. We all know where this is headed and it’s not anywhere good.

Could be snake oil salesman guy.  MR1 (Mike Riley) in second year record, 9W-4L.  MR2 (Rhule) in second year record, ?????

Well I am not sure if this is a Frost-specific thing.  I could tell after year 2 that Frost was not going to get the ship turned around, but many fans (including some on here) wanted to keep giving him time since he was a former player.  Now Rhule is Mike Riley 2.0 and Riley only got 3 years.  I would say that Rhule will need to get at least 8 wins in year 3 to keep his job.  If we are meddling just above or below .500 he will be gone.  I personally would like to put the bar at 9 wins by year 3.

Luke was a horrible hire, so was Rhule.

But Wisky doesn't really care, people forget that until the late 90's they were the laughing stock of the Big Ten in FB and BB.  They are check cashers, just like most teams in this conference

I wonder if Paul Chryst will be in play after the season?  Committed to the run and used his talented TE.  Nebraska could do a lot worse IMO.

and replacement from TW to Bo Pelini. Though remove Bo's hat in sideline games (contract).  Also put valium drug just before press conference. 😄

I personally would move on sooner than later.  This thing should be showing signs of gaining momentum, and we are showing signs of falling back down that huge hill we have been trying to climb.  This juggernaut of college football is not going to wait for schools to get there Sh!t together.  Right now we are not even in the top 50 of college football.  Sure we might grade out higher, but truly, this program is not a Top 50 product on the field.

With the playoff system the way it is currently set up, we should at least be sniffing the outside of it.  Losing to Illinois was bad, now losing to UCLA makes matter worse.  Ohio St was always chalked up as a loss.  Indiana is the real deal.  This team should be no worse than 7-2 right now.  NO worse. I think part of building a program is also exceeding expectations.  Instead we always play below expectations and think its ok because were rebuilding..........We have been in rebuild mode now for 20 years with no conference titles, no BCS bowl appearances and frankly no real progress.

Just because I’m grumpy and I want to pile on……

Northern Iowa hasn’t won a game since we played them.  Winless and at the bottom of the Mo Valley Conference.

GBR
