Ricky Thenarse

I really, REALLY like this kid. I think he is our next big time corner along with Culburt but it seems Thenarse is more suited to be able to play right now and I really hope we see more of him. Putting him in instead of 2 LBs trying to guard WRs when other teams go 4+ WRs. He played great in his few snaps at Iowa St and even had a pass deflection. Anyone feel really good about this kid? I think given the opprotunity this season he can make some plays. He started getting limited playing time on Special Teams and is now a starter there so I cant wait to see more of him hopefully!!!

Thenarse and Wilson will help out a lot. Expect to see real DB's when we need to use nickle or dime packages. Hopefully we'll pickup another good JC DB in this upcoming recruiting. As weak as our secondary is this season, it will be pretty tough next year.

Thenarse is awesome to watch on kickoffs. Him, Rigoni, Corey Young and Culbert are great on the kick team. Thenarse is fast as can be out there, just needs to keep getting experience.

I'd like to see Thenarse stay at saftey. The way the guy runs with reckless abandon, he's a natural saftey. Tierre Green has laid some pretty good hits so far, but I would like to see an NU saftey that will bring the wood the whole game. Thenarse certainly will.

But with out situation at DB, I would'nt be surprised to see him get some corner time in as well. He was in on dime against ISU AFAIK.

I was hearing from someone the other day that Ricky was going to be the next Mike Brown. He does not look like Brown, but from what I've seen he has the right attitude. Bryan Willson, is that what the poster above me is talking about? i have not seen much of him on film. I do recall him coming in last year and getting smoked on his first play.

i heart him too

but seriously i do think he brings the wood and will be great

I agree with the above. I think that as he gains confidence , he will be a Ronnie Lott with speed.

I just love watching him and Culbert, Young and Rigoni on the Kickoff team. They don't shy from contact, and just fly to the ball.

Rigoni has some pupils...
