Riley to the Saints?

NEW ORLEANS —If Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints part ways over the next few days, here are several candidates who could possible take over as head coach.

2. Mike Riley

University of Nebraska head coach

I don't think Riley would be the No. 1 guy but he is extremely close to Loomis. After a disastrous stint as the San Diego Chargers head coach maybe Riley is ready to return to the NFL, especially working for a general manager he's got a great relationship with.

Riley was the Saints associate head coach in 2002 under Jim Haslett.

Remember all those lists that cropped up when Pelini was fired? Remember how NONE of them had Mike Riley's name on them?

This is ridiculous, lol. I'm finding it difficult to see Riley bolt for the NFL but stranger things have happened for sure.

I just read an article about how New Orleans has zero paint, no paint at all, anywhere...I bet Riley's wife would be so freaking happy there! Might be something for him to really look into.

I read somewhere that MR and his wife like to eat food. NOLA has good food so this is probably a done deal.
They do have some good food!

Contracts are probably being signed right now...the real question, who is SE going after?

Larry Coker just resigned at UTSA

Jeff Fisher has a career 500 record

You really gotta chill with the troll game teach
Trolling? They took a year to buy a house and had to sell it a few months later because of his wife's allergies to paint...So, making a joke about a pointless city is more clever and funny than it is trolling.

See?

NFL folks are pretty dumb when it comes to hiring coaches. This makes lots of sense. Not sure who a person picks up as a coach this late in the game unless you throw lots of money at someone.
