It's interesting that Phelps has 2 DUI's and was photographed with a bong and he is an American hero. But Lochte is getting all sorts of bad sh#t thrown at him for this

Phelps didn't lie about it, or go on several national tv shows talking about how a foreign country's police system was corrupt.

 
That's hilarious, although to be fair, population wise the EU is closer to being a 'fair fight' against the US than any individual country ever could be.

Not exactly. But the big advantage is being able to enter well more than the 2/3 max per event.
