Rio Olympics

OK...now that the olympics are over. I love watching the olympics simply because it's (for the most part) completely different sports than we usually get to see and the athletes are amazing.

However, to me honest, other than the lighting of the torch, the opening and closing ceremonies have to be the worst parts of all the TV coverage. We tuned in for about 5 minutes last night and that's just insanely unwatchable.

 
I didn't watch the closing ceremony at all but did watch some of the opening ceremony. I guess I kind of like the history part of them - but could do without quite so much of the fluff - but I'm kind of a history buff so....

 
I'm not saying Lochte doesn't deserve being dropped but it worked out pretty well for a couple companies that that can ditch him right after his (likely) last major competition.

The Prime Minister of Japan coming out of a warp pipe dressed like Mario was pretty incredible.
