Rivals Preseason Rankings-Huskers at #27, Kansas #16

So, they think the 16th ranked team is going to have "8 or 9 wins"? Interesting. I don't believe an 8 or 9 win team ever got ranked 16th, but honestly haven't done my research.

If the defense is as mediocre as it was last season a 7-5 or 6-6 season beckons. If the defense has made some improvements, this could be a 10-win team. More likely is eight or nine wins and a Big 12 North title.
