Robert Marve

You remember that name, right? Robert Marve. The quarterback who looked at Nebraska after transferring from Miami.
Well, he ended up at Purdue. And this week Boilermakers coach Andy Hope said the junior is No. 1 heading into fall camp.

"We like everything about Robert -- his ability to throw the football, run with the football and lead our team from the quarterback position -- and we want him to begin practice with the mindset that he is the guy," Hope said in a statement. "Knowing Robert and his competitiveness, he will not take this decision for granted and, if anything, it will make him more determined than ever to solidify the starting position."

Of course, with Nebraska joining the Big Ten in 2011, there's a good chance the Huskers will get to meet Marve again.

does somebody somewhere have a doomsday device when it comes to nebraska and quarterbacks...

Anyday, Anytime, Anywhere.

This kid is good but Colt is better and Locker is better. We will have to deal with him next year if they are on the schedule, but no big deal.

We have some pretty touch QB's on the schedule each year. I would fear him more if he was still at Miami with all of their athletes.

kinda meant about us getting screwed by not having a real good one...if marve were to of transferred here he would probably be our starter in the spring and we definitely would be in the thick of things
