"Rockin' Away"

Okay, this won't appeal to everyone, but if you were a fan of the group Boston, you might want to check out Rockin' Away.

For those who aren't familiar with Boston, Brad Delp was the voice of the band. Barry Goudreau was one of the original members - and was both Brad's brother-in-law and his friend. Barry and Brad also formed the band RTZ - if you've never heard their stuff, check out "Rain Down on Me" - a great tune.

Anyway, the music world lost Brad all too recently. But before that happened, he and Barry had cut an album simply entitled "Delp and Goudreau". The music was more straight-ahead rock-n-roll without any real Boston influence.

Rockin' Away is the last, previously unreleased, song they made. If you liked the original Boston sound, you'll like Rockin' Away. The links in this message take you to a site where you can hear a sample and either download the song or order it on CD.

That one worked. Thanks for posting it - a fitting tribute. Particularly the song. Given the demons he fought, I always thought "A Man I'll Never Be" was almost autobiographical.

Thanks for the link...
Yeah..Me Too

Didn't get played as much on the radio back then..But has become a Favourite of mine over the years.

If I said whats on my mindYoud turn and walk away

Disappearing way back in your dreams

Its so hard to be unkind

So easy just to say

That everything is just the way it seems

You look up at me

And somewhere in your mind you see

A man Ill never be

If only I could find a way

Id feel like Im the man you believe I am

And it gets harder every day for me

To hide behind this dream you see

A man Ill never be

I cant get any stronger

I cant climb any higher

Youll never know just how hard Ive tried

Cry a little longer

And hold a little tighter

Emotions cant be satisfied

You look up at me

And somewhere in your mind you see

A man Ill never be

If only I could find a way

Id feel like Im the man you believe I am

And it gets harder every day for me

To hide behind this dream you see

A man Ill never be
