Rodriguez fires ALL Michigan assistants

Yeah, thats kind of screw job there since most new coaches will probably already have their asst coaches picked and make finding new coaching jobs harder. Think RR resigned the Michigan RB coach today, must have been told he had to keep one person on the staff with ties to the school.

This isn't unusual at all. Most Head Coaches want to bring their own staffs along. What amazes me these days is the amount of money being spent to make people go away.

And on a slightly different topic, some analyst on ESPN today suggested that when these coaches bolt from their contracts, they should be forced to sit out one year, just like the players must. And if a coach quits, the players should be allowed to transfer without penalty. It's an unfair double standard.

I've never been able to figure out how two get paid for TWO MORE YEARS after I'm laid off. If I was one of those guys I'd probably send out a few resumes and be available for interviews next spring after spending the winter on some island in the Carribean.
