Roster Outlook for The 2019-2020 Season

I updated the OP. Hoiberg wants to win now and if we can get Stevens eligible we have a solid group of guys. Team chemistry will be lacking but talent will not be this year. We are not where we want to be yet but I am overly impressed with what this staff has done in a short amount of time.

Robin Washut also broke down the scholarship numbers in this link below.

The team is taking a trip to play in Italy in the fall. That will help with team chemistry. It’s also not a bad deal for the transfers coming to NU. “Wait, I get to go to Italy and the Cayman Islands in a few months if I come to Nebraska? Sign me up!”

That’s pretty impressive class distribution when you realize about all of the roster was put together with new recruits transfers.

Shows me they were very well organized.

We are now almost complete with our roster and it is a completely revamped team. As we get new players I will add them but so far here is our roster and potential additions for 2019. Nebraska is allowed 13 scholarship players in total. I probably missed some transfers but I am only adding them if they visited or have some connection with the staff (Lard I think).

Update: This staff is recruiting at a high level. They have added some solid players to this roster. The main thing now is how will the roster gel for the 2019 season. Justin Costello has left the team according to Washut so I removed him.

On Roster

Dachon Burke

Thor

Isaiah Roby (Potentially going pro)

Jace Piatowski(Walk-on)

Charlie Easley(Walk-On)

3 scholarships

Recruits signed

Jervay Green

Akol Arop

Cam Mack

Yvan Ouedraogo

Kevin Cross

5 scholarships

Grad Transfers/Transfers Committed/Signed

Haanif Cheatham(Grad)

Matej Kavas(Grad)

Dalano Banton(Transfer)

Shamiel Stevenson(Transfer)-applying for a waiver for immediate eligibility.

Derrick Walker(Transfer)

5 scholarships

Right now that leaves us with 1 available scholarship depending if Roby leaves.

13 total scholarships.

High school/Juco Recruits-We probably are done with 2019 recruits. We have moved on from Adams-Woods it seems and Curtis is the only 2019 recruit left. He has not visited yet.

Samari Curtis

Transfers/Grad Transfers- 1, if Roby leaves, I would assume one will sit and one will be able to play right away

Maurice Calloo(Transfer)- seems we want him to go Juco before we give him a spot.

Cam Lard(Transfer)(Entering Draft)- I do not believe he will be drafted, but it seems like he would be a great player after sitting for a year.

Joel Ntambwe(Transfer)-visited for the Spring game. He could potentially apply for a waiver to play immediately
I updated the OP with Derrick Walker. Really good job by the staff getting some solid players here in a short amount of time.
