Van Halen Reunites With Roth

Van Halen is reuniting with former front man David Lee Roth for an upcoming summer tour, according to TMZ.com.

“I am very excited to get back to the core of what made Van Halen,” said band founder Eddie Van Halen in a statement released by their rep.

The tour, with 40 live dates, will be the first time since 1984 that Roth will perform with Eddie and Alex Van Halen. Eddie’s 15-year-old son, Wolfgang Van Halen, will fill in as the bassist.

The Grammy-nominated supergroup has sold over 75 million albums worldwide and will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in March.

about 10 years ago, they got back together for about a week, then Eddie V denied that they were ever really back together. Whatever, Van Halen hasn't put out much worth listening to in quite a while.

 
Maybe it's me, but I don't really care to see a mid-fifties balding singer bouncing around on a inflatable microphone on stage. I just don't see this tour doing too well.
