This rum is a must for anyone looking for the quintessential Barbados profile. Vanilla, oak, lightly fruity, not sugary sweet, this stuff just hits the mark. Smells fantastic and makes a decent sipper but this will shine in cocktails. I love a rum Sazerac with this particular bottle. Probably won't see this outside of Total Wine but it provides an incredible value. B+/A-

Just picked up some of the new Worthy Park Overproof. It is very good, but now includes distillate made from fresh sugar cane which is very noticeable on the palate. This new offering will be replacing the Rum-Bar line in the US. The Overproof specifically seems like a completely different blend so if you see any Rum Bar Overproof at your local stores grab it while you can! This stuff will only be found in Jamaica going forward and it is quite different than the product that will be replacing it!!

Give me some good tasting dry Gins for my dirty Martini's please (I use 3 olives) 

Also, I need a good tasting Gin for Lime Ricky's (Gin Rickey's with Lime juice).  

I'd rather not have 2 separate bottles (1 for Martini's and 1 for cocktails)

I appreciate it if we can keep the bottle below $65, or perhaps below $45?

For cocktails I am a fan of Plymouth(Navy strength if you can find it) and Citadelle 

Dry, tough to beat the classics imo. I like Tanqeuray and Bombay. Beefeater is up there for me as well.

For some craftier options I like Drumshanbo Irish Gunpowder Gin, the Botanist, Noletts and Bristows.

The great thing is gin is generally inexpensive so all these options should be under 50!

I am leaning on Plymouth, slightly over Beefeater.   

The Navy strength (Plymouth) might not be around here in Texas, but I will check a few liquor stores nearby.

I checked YouTube, for Plymouth Gin reviews, since you recommended it, and the first thing that came up was this bloke from the UK. 

Surprisingly, I laughed so hard at this real reaction, it made me want to get it even more.

It's like a blast up the backside! Lmao that was great!! I mean hey, I know a little about gin but if this guy is saying it's good it has to be good. Who else can mimic accents from each gin producing region? That's impressive
