Rumblings from Dallas about the Longhorns

Saban is already totally loaded. I don't see him leaving just to be more loaded. At his age he only has one more jump left in him, I think he'd take the big check and challenge of going to the NFL.

Tried and failed.

I learned one thing today. ESPN needs a new picture of Mack Brown. The picture they showed of him today looked like it was taken 20 years ago.

Joe Jamail, a billionaire trial lawyer who is one of the top donors to Texas, is Brown's attorney. When asked about the conference call with Sexton and the lunch meeting, Jamail suggested Hall was acting on his own and threatened to sue anyone outside the university if they try to pressure Brown to resign.

"If there are any more, get ready for a lawsuit," Jamail said. "Mack has publicly stated he wants to coach."
Wow. The field is named after Jamail, so is the swimming center, and the law school pavilion, plus there are a couple statues of him on campus. Mack may not be gone after all.

Wait...you can sue people for asking a guy to retire...but couldn't you also sue someone for "threatening" you with a law suit? Isn't that, in his words, not mine a "threat"

Jamail made his billion+ suing people, guess he figures he can sue anyone for anything, LOL.

My point was that the biggest booster is still in Mack's corner.

Jamail is a pr*ck trial attorney who make his fortune off one contingency fee.

Check out his professionalism during depositions on YouTube.

He didn't try that long and it isn't like he was fired, bama just made him a nice guaranteed offer. Plus it isn't like his successor did any better. I can see him taking another run at the NFL IF it's the right situation.

I don't think there is any way that he goes to the NFL. His kind of micro-management style will not fly with professional athletes. Texas I could see happening. The opportunity to turn around a prominent program would appeal to anyone's ego, and seriously, what more does he have to accomplish at 'bama?

Pete Carroll would like a word with you...

a billion dollars from trial work? good gawd. also, how terrible would it be for a whole program to be held hostage by one booster? and we get upset over some big-time, small-town banker.

and him threatening to sue? what a joke. way to be the worst caricature of an attorney, buddy.
