Rumor has it..

Was reading on another board Callahan and Watson got a case of the a$$ with each other which is why Cally took off his headset. Apparently Watson wanted to make some changes with play calling and Cally wasn't diggin it. Guess things continued off field after the game

Also heard Cosgrove and Wyatt had an exchange of words about Wyatt's comment that practices aren't physical enough. Wyatt was essentially shocked the players didn't practice full pads and live tackling.

Seems to be a lot of tension and infighting amongst the coaches.

Take it for what it's worth

It's not really surprising. I would think that tensions would be pretty high all around in the North stadium.

As much as some people want to believe, the staff and the team isn't oblivious to all this.

If this rumor is true (which according to the original poster came from a very reliable source) then there are even bigger problems with this team than we thought.

True. I'm sure there will always be disagreements with play calling and what-not but if these coaches aren't careful, it could start spilling over to the players themselves. And I'm wondering if that isn't what is happening.

After being at the game, I have a ton of respect for Wyatt. To me, he seems to be the "leader" of the defense now. He was in the huddle every time the Blackshirts were about to go on the field, and was trying to rally the troops. Coz was there as well, but it appeared that he did very little to get the D going. Also, I saw Octavian have a heated discussion again with Coz..not sure if it was an argument or just frustration. I think that Coz needs to take his playsheet out of his crotch and stuff it down his a$$!

Any clue as to where you heard this?

I don't want to say which board out of respect for HuskerBoard and it's admin's and mods. Suffice it to say it was another free Nebraska board

Well if that's true at least Wyatt is showing some damn fire!!!! Fire Cosgrove and let him be the interim defensive coordinator and see how he does.

Since we are talking about rumors, and i know a rumor is just that, but i wanted to see if anyone else had heard what i had that the Buccaneers were going to be making an offensive position available to BC at the end of this year. I am told that is floating around UNL's campus pretty heavily. Anyone heard anything about this?

I wouldn't believe that one at all since it is heavy around a college campus. Probably just a rumor that someone started. If it ends up being true then so be it.

I have not heard this, but if true I think Callahan would be relieved. He would have an opportunity to get out of here of his own accord before things get ugly and he gets axed. I think he can do better in the NFL than in College, as OC.. I don't think he has what it takes to be a HC anywhere.

But, yeah I would think that, if I were him and was on the brink of having a full-scale revolt on my hands, I would welcome a chance to get out of here with my dignity in tact.
