S Hunter Dale [Washington State - Signed LOI]

I also think parents play a huge disservice. Especially for a school like Nebraska trying to pull kids out of the south. Just look at the DE who flopped from us on signing day last year. He had his mind set on Nebraska but his parents wouldn't let him. When we do get parents on campus though there is usually a high percentage for commitment.
His mom was on the visit with him.

So based on his tweet, NU is no longer on his list?

This is a very strange situation....this will put some pressure on his HS coaching staff to follow through on their supposed rules of committing and decommitting? Hopefully the Huskers can pull him back in the fold.

It is possible that he told Bo he wants to commit, and Bo told him to think it over and make sure it's the right decision (when the euphoria of the visit wears off). He (Bo) routinely does that.

Why delete all of his posts then? Just seems a little fishy to me.

I know Bo tells kids to go home and think about it, but the way it all went down (coaches, Bussey, etc) there seems to be more to it. Like I said, I hope he will be N in the end!

No, Bo definitely let him commit, or the coaches wouldn't have been tweeting Booms... And he wouldn't have interviewed with 3 different news services telling about how happy he was to commit...

My guess is Erstad didn't want to give him a baseball scholarship
If my understanding is correct, his scholarship would've been charged to the football program anyways if he plays both so this can't be it.
Yes, he would be a football scholarship and basically a walk-on in baseball. So there's no way Erstad vetoed a free player, no matter what his potential is in baseball. Sounds more like he's just not ready to end the recruiting process. Too bad.

Turns out he is no longer committed. Very weird if you ask me. After what he said when he was here it doesn't add up that he is now saying he isn't committed.

I'll take Doherty all day over this clown. I'm sorry I like to stay positive but the way he has handled everything is absolutely ridiculous

From what i have read, it seems like he still wants to go through the whole process of being "wined & Dined" but also seems weird that it seems like he just struck NE from consideration completely.

I wonder if he told Bo he wanted to hold off on committing and Bo just basically told him if he wasnt 100% in we'd move on?

Weird situation but not shocking when dealing with a 17 yr old who seems to love being a celebrity.
